My 2014 F-250 is having a repeat problem with an intermittent cell engine light. About 10000 miles ago it happened, and they changed out the egr cooler. Saying it was gummed up with soot. Problem just started up again. Light will stay on for about 3 or 4 restarts then sir off on its own. It's this a known issue with the 6.7? Is there a way to prevent it?

Hi tnastealth,
Have you returned to the dealership so they could diagnose the check engine light? How many miles are on your truck now? I'll start investigating ways to help.
It's going back to the dealership tomorrow. It currently has just over 25000 miles on it.
Thanks for the quick reply, tnastealth. Be sure to come back and tell us how things go at the dealer today. If you'd like, I can loop in your regional customer service manager. Just send a PM my way with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership; I'll do the rest.
My service department here said it is a bad EGR bypass valve. Part is in back order. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the next couple of weeks. With 25000 miles on my truck, this will be the 2nd EGR post replaced. Had the cooler replaced last year

Crystal,
Thanks for trying to help.
It sure makes us Ford trucks guys feel good when others get this kind of potential support.
Awesome to see!
