Need help, removing starter

Hey Guys,

I am trying to remove my starter and am having no luck. I guess I need to know how many bolts there are and where they are. If there are any instructions out there that would be great.

Three bolts. The top one is pretty much by feel.

Use a 6-pt IMPACT socket to remove the bolts. If you use anything else and the bolt head rounds off, I'll say "I told you so"

Check this link out. Helped me a lot the first time I did a starter on these trucks. Get a couple size extensions to see what works. Personally I got along fine without a universal socket..if you remove the tire and have someone guide the socket onto the top bolt that saves a LOT of frustration I've found. http://www.happywrenching.com/ford/f150/ford-f-150-starter-replacement-removal-and-installation.html
