Red Head Gear Box Help
Howdy everyone!
Really hoping for a quick answer here!!
Just got my RedHead Gear box in. I wasn't comfortable doing it myself as I don't have the tools or experience to actually do that. I have a few connections over @ the dealership by me, so they are the ones I wanted to get the job done. (Only charging me $100 labor)
Here is where it goes down hill. I just got a call and was told they are having problems getting the steering wheel aligned. They installed everything but the steering wheel is upside down. THey are calling redhead to confirm they sent me the right box (god I hope they did).
I figured I would turn to you guys for a little assistance. I would have thought having it done by a Ford Dealership that this would have gone smoothly, but here we are
The truck it is going into is a 2002 Ford Excursion Diesel 4x4. No lift or anything.
Hoping maybe you guys have experience with this or could at least point me in the right direction.

Looks like they figured it out. Whoever installed the last gear box (I'm not the original owner) did some mickey mouse job on the truck.
All is good now! OH MAN what a difference! That with the ball joints (all of them) as well as an alignment, the truck drives like new again. LOVING IT
