Steering Gear/Box

Just wondering if anyone has installed a new steering box? I have a red head box sitting on my bench and am wondering if there is anything if I should know before I begin.

yup no problem. i was just curious as to which our year trucks had when i was asking you originally. i have just been to lazy to crawl under there and count them. i havent looked in a while but i think the pitman arm has to come off to count which is pretty simple with a puller. good luck make another post once you get it done. this is something i am really interested in. thanks ryan

I have not checked the truck but they sent me the 36 spline. Hopefully that is the same as the truck. I will confirm when I get going on the swap, Sunday probably.
