Need help fast electrical

I have had a battery drain dead in the morning 8 hours of sitting and dead.
Drawing 5.7 amps then .31 then 5.6 then .31 changes every 10 seconds or so.
Fuse number 1 under the hood is the culprit. What is it for? I can't find and information and I have no manual.

You can download your owners manual from Ford.com Owners manual

Don't know what you're driving but for my truck that would be the adjustable pedals (If I had that feature).

Oops my bad forgot the most important information

It's a 2001 ford excursion 7.3l

I think I figured it out for the rear windshield wiper?

I went to the back took the panel off and it was very hot. Truck trying to make it a glow plug??

Still want to make sure that's what it is

Ah, I overlooked where you said the fuse was under the hood. I wonder if it is the wiper motor shorting to ground, or the switch shorting.
