Does anyone here know if the manual choke conversion kits sold by summit, jegs, etc.... for Holley 4160 carbs will fit on a Holley 4180c ? From looking at the photos it appears that the choke setup for the 4160 and 4180c are the same but I want to be sure before dropping the money on it.
After looking at the kits a lot closer I tend to agree. Seems like Holley kept their choke setup the same across several different models.
However, I have also learned that converting to manual choke will likely cause issues with CA Smog inspection ..... and unfortunately I still have to deal with the CA emissions crap. So I now am in the process of rebuilding my choke stove setup so I can get the old beast running like it should. It really doesn't like starting up cold without a choke ... even though it is possible. Just finished JB Welding a copper nipple on the choke stove to replace the tube that rusted off. Planning on using a short piece of high temp rubber tubing from that nipple to the carb. Luckily the other metal tube did not rust off. We shall see how it goes tomorrow morning when the JB Weld is cured and I bolt it back on.

Look at SwampFox112's original thread about this conversion. And I would order it direct from Holley.
When you do the conversion, check back here and let Us know how it went...It will help others.
Holley wants $11ship the $30 45-225 conversion part costing a total of $42 or so.
I can order it through Auto Zone for no shipping costs same part from Holley.
