power door locks

my drivers door lock quit working.all the others still respond to the drivers door switch.the motor works when on the bench.one of the wires has broken or lost connection.anyone suggest where to check first?

A bundle of wires go through an accordion tube from the door to the frame. That's the most common area of wire failures, as that's where they get repeatedly bent the most.

yes, that is where the wire(s) break, from the driver's door entry point into the kick panel.

thanks.thats what i was thinking too.its almost impossible to access those wires in the door.

not really, just pull the driver's side plastic cover or "kick panel",

with door open, pull the rubber "accordion" neck from both sides,

remove door panel, leaving door locks switch handy.

remove some of the wiring harness tape at the point where it enters the interior, that's where you will find any broken wires.
