My 2006 f-250 just started blowing the #22 fuse when i go over a bump! Any one know where the wire harness is for this. I've checked all the harnesses I could locate that looked like they could be rubbing on something.
On a 05 which is the only one I have a chart for.
Fuse 22 20a in the under dash box is engine control a number of things will blow that includeing the 2 cheezit mentioned.
Fuse 22 60a in underhood box is ABS coils.
Yes it is the one in the cab! I cannot seem to find any bad wires on either the shift wires or the fan wires. Any normal spots that they rub or otherwise go bad?
Those are just the 2 most common. Just about any circuit in the engine harness or the plug between the engine and chassie harness and the chassie harness itself wher it passes thru the cab. The rest of the harness inside the cab and every sub harness are all potential culprits. Especially the one going up thru the column.
Happy hunting.
Thanks! It has to be something i wiggled in the last 6 hrs. I just drove home and hit every bump I could. No blown fuses. Now when will it reer its ugly head again! Lol!
Don't ya just love a random event. Never messes up when yer looking for it and next thing you know it fixes itself so ya never know what actually fixed it or how long it will stay fixed.
I don't have a photo of the thing yet but you need one of the resettable
fuse tools that you plug in place of the fuse and just hit the button to
reset that fuse while your searching.
Like this thing here on Ebay.

(THIS IS A JOKE) Just make a short across the fuse and look for the smoke!

But lets get real about this. Your going to have some harness digging to
do to find this little bugger and it can be a real PITA. Electrical shorts
and other intermittent problems are always a headache do to the fact that
it won't happen every time and some times you see it every time till you
go to look for it.
And that is the real name of this tune. LOL Good hunting.
I have never actually counted the circuits in a 6.0 but there is over a hundred fused circuits maybe 50 relays and who knows how many unfused circuits.
