Not much of that crap around here, kids are into lowering civics, excessive camber, "stance" and stretching tires onto rims that are too wide. You're deemed a "hater" if you disagree with it, can't wait for this fad to die.
We have a bunch of these morons running around my area. I have been waiting for one to end up under my front tires. They drive like absolute idiots out here.
I think it's the diesel forum where they have a thread with the ridiculous stacks and the nuts hanging pics.
I'm too slow with the camera or forget I have one on me. It's common enough around these parts as well.
Yeah I've seen that nonsense before, looks like crap. Oh but if you don't like it & say something about it...you're a 'hater'.
Here's a good example of how to pull it off right...'Merica!
How is this right? A chain holding up the hook? On a set-up that looks like it will never see any rocks, let alone a boulder? Least he could have had was a clevis to hold that hook. Would have made some sense, then.
I wonder if this is supposed to be an exaggerated version of "drift charms". Drifters like to hang dangly-bits from the back of their cars, although I don't really know which came first.
Yep.....seen all that crap here too except for the hanging ridiculously large items from the front or rear. Looks way sketchy. Don't get the riced out Civics with the "stance"..... it can't be good for the tires. That and it just looks odd.
Also have many diesel rigs (mostly the Dodge guys) who either have oversized stacks or a 4-5 inch tailpipe that gets pretty dang loud not to mention belching out gobs of black smoke cuz they have some mods on their 6 bangers. Real nice when the light turns green and they stomp on the throttle.......
"Drift charms", as they are referred to above, are intended for Ricers to communicate to each other that they are up for a street race. The practice started in... Japan.
That and the jacked up Dodge/Cummins crowd like to run with their towing mirrors flipped up, even tho most have probably never even pulled a trailer big enough to need em in their life. My buddy likes to tell these guys that its like wlaking around with your fly open, usually gets a pretty good response...
