when I got my van it shifted fine but now its shifting hard while its still cold. when it warms up its fine. dose that sound like atf (Automatic Transmision Fluid) might be low? id check it but I cant seam to find the dipstick.
it's a 1999 with the 7.3 turbo diesel. I did check the levels on the fluids and if anything it's overfilled. Would that cause it to be giving these issues?
Edit: i'm not sure which transmission I have or rear end. But it has an extreme amount of torque. Does not accelerate fast at all but very torquie.
Always check the fluid with the transmission warmed up and the engine idling with the transmission in park.
You have a 4R100 transmission.
4r100 huh, its nice to know. I did do a YouTube video where u can see some numbers on the side. not very good with me on my back when I am in a bad back day
