Fired up the FlexVision components today and it's still working after 13yrs. Watched a VHS Movie on a pull down 6.8 screen @ 1152x234 res, then I got brave and pulled out the PlayStation 1 and plugged in for a little TombRaider action using the Vans Game Port and Inverter. I'm sure glad my Laptop replaces all of it, but it was a retro kick for the Nerd in me....... 02 E150 Low Top Solar Eclipse w/leather.
Well that is cool----although all that gaming stuff eludes me. In fact the last time I really played (in earnest) any video game was back in the early '80's, a game called Missile Command on those bar room pay consoles. A few friends and myself would pump in $10-20 dollars in quarters in one particular machine----daily! Talk about sad...............
Its a great feeling when all that old gear still works. While everything that's replaced the technology is theoretically "better" something visceral and pleasantly nostalgic about it.
