Hey everyone,
When I go to start my truck I have to hold the ignition in place and not let go for it to turn over/ start. Once the ignition is in the right spot and the truck is running, just a small tap will turn the truck off. It's almost as if the ignition isn't staying in gauged. Has anyone had this happen?
The switches do go bad. It's mounted on top of the steering column, underneath the dash. The best way to get to it is to take the little shroud off near the cluster, take the two big bolts loose that hold the column to the bottom of the dash, and let the column down. When you take the small shroud off near the column TAKE THE SMALL PLASTIC TUBE WITH THE STRING IN IT OFF SO YOU DON'T BREAK IT if you have a automatic. The small plastic tube with the string is what makes your PRNDL indicator work.
