I have a 1991 f250 as a project and I found a parts truck with a good body all around it doesn't run "wiring issue the owner claims" he wants a 1000 for it but I think that's a little pricey. I have a zf5 in my basement that I want to use on the f250 but the parts truck cab is an automatic. Is it difficult to convert it to a manual shifting cab? By that I mean clutch pedal, wiring, hydraulics? Or would it be easier to find a manual transmission cab?
As long as the parts truck is a 87 to 91, then the clutch/brake pedal assy will fit your 91 truck. Any other years will not be bolt in with out alot of mods to the firewall and dash supports.

Sounds like a truck I found in southern Alberta last winter. Did not buy it, too many transport issues, but I keep wishing I had those clean straight panels.
Good parts and body work can be pricey, $1000 does not go very far.
As of right now I don't have any manual assembly pieces so I will have to find a JY truck with everything. So I should be able to find any manual assemblies I should need.
Yes, 92-96 cab will fit on a bricknose frame. But the whole firewall is different; dash mounting spots, firewall holes (round plug, rectangular hole), etc. Honestly, if you're just swapping over trans from auto to manual, there are a few good threads that can help you. You should use cab specific year assemblies. You'd need a steering column probably, plate for manual trans, and then pedal assembly.
But what you're asking is to put the 96 F250 onto your 91 F250 frame? That wouldn't be the best idea, This guy did the swap using a 92-96 cab and you can check out his issues.
Sorry if this isn't the news you were hoping for, but that is a good looking parts truck. You could even get it running an double your money on it...
But check it out, nothing that can't be done! A little extra work may required however, good luck with it!
Good idea to have a title just in case. Brought an 86 up from NC last year. Had the title but owners' sig wasn't notarized as per NC regs. Had to track the owner down so we could get his signature notarized at a NC DMV. Have a NY title in my name now.
