DEF system failure

I have a 2017 F250 with a little over 55K and my DEF alert started alerting that my DEF was low...."50 miles til reduced speed"... 50 miles, not 500. I read that if you banged on the tank with a rubber mallet it might "dislodge" a stuck float. I did that and it worked...for a minute. I noticed that when I added fluid that the lid was really difficult to get off, so when the same alert happened again within a day, I removed the cap and restarted my truck and Viola! alert off! By the next day or so , it was back on again. This time I removed the cap, tapped it a few good times and blew the crystals out. Even though the cap didn't seem vented, it worked....for a couple of weeks anyway. Light just came back on last night on my way home. Removed cap, resets warning....Engine code is something like: P2049 reductant injector circuit high bank 1 unit 1, P2048 reductant injector circuit low bank 1 unit 1, P2047 reductant injector circuit/open bank 1 unit 1. I am not happy with the Ford dealer near me, even though I have extended warranty. And ideas? is the cap vented? Where can I find this information? Thanks In advance and Merry Christmas!
