I had a D66 with a billet wheel. Ran it with the 1.15 and 1.0 exhaust housings. I now have a T4/S366 setup, I am much happier now.
If you haven't had to address the up pipes or had to source inter cooler pipes yet, but plan on both, the T4 swap makes a lot more economical sense then.
Not meant to derail our thread arkredneck… fordman67 and rusty1161, your suggestion seems to be a common one. Is it because that set up moves more air for the same cost?
I have the Banks pipes, an intercooler and a spare stock turbo.
I have no personal experience with the d66. However after considering all options and reading as much as I could and consulting with smarter people than I . I concluded that the d66 just is not enough to constitute its price.
Ark has one for almost free so I understand his situation.
The 366 does away with the crappy OE up pipes. Provides 3" plenums ,plumbing and more options on turbo wheels, housings etc.
There again tho I have not had a 366.
Darrin,Glenn, bill all have them and tow more than I so it must be working.
At the end of the day i just think the billet wheel in a d66 is spending good money after bad.

This........
Add up the cost of comparable setups, and the T4/S366 makes a lot of sense. I want a strong, reliable tow pig. I thought the D66, billet WW2, Banks I/C pipes, Irate bellowed up pipes were the right setup, but it still ran too hot for me unloaded, and you're pretty dang close dollar wise and still stuck with 2" intake plenums.
Add in the extra labor of swapping parts twice and it's a no brainer for me to recommend the T4/S366 setup. I wasted a lot of time swapping parts more than once.

Rusty
And so goes my reasoning for my s468...it may be big but I went from stock to not at once...and only once.
