Great, something less to worry about. Glad you figured out that the alternator is the problem, just for the hell of it double check the batteries before the new one goes back in.
Ed @ FICMrepair.com makes and sells upgrade battery and alternator cables.
1. Add a heavy cable alternator to ground.
2. Add heavy cable w/300 amp fuse alternator to pass battery.
3. Add a heavy cable between pos terminals of batteries.
These reduce resistance between key components of electrical system to maximize charging and reduce voltage drop.

I'll have the batteries tested again tomorrow. All connections are good. How many alternator did you go through till you got a good one?
I went through 2 DC Power 320 amp, before settling for there 270 amp.
The Owner yes Owner of DC Power called me and stated they had a bunch of defective rectifiers I believe (it was a part made by bosh) were all defective.
Dang that stinks. I sat at pretty much +14V all day driving with AC, radio on, and iPads or something else plugged in and charging...we drove 12hrs today and I was monitoring temps and voltage regularly.
Just came back from O'Reilly s. They hooked up their alternator and battery tester. Batteries tested good. It said voltage regulator is bad. Second alternator in a row out the door from DB Electrical defective.
Yea, I'm not surprised quality control sucks...I have a 10 year old OEM that works and I kept as an emergency back up. I usually don't collect garbage but have no faith in my DC.
Yes I have considered them. They are a little more expensive. DB sent me a refund on the first one without any explanation even though I asked for a new one or to repair that one. When I asked for a tracking number for the replacement I got no response.
