Stalls when in reverse

Stalls when in reverse
Hi,
I have a 5.4 2006 XLT expedition. Today, I was driving around perfectly fine, until I tried to park, when it stalled. This happened the few times I tried, continuously. When I'd put it in reverse and turn the wheel all the way to the right, press the gas, then the brake, it would die. Also, a couple days ago, the low beams/high beams stopped turning on, though the signals, brake lights, fog lights, and reverse lights would work. I tested the power going to the lights and they had power, and also replaced the on/off switch, yet without success. Could these problems be connected? Could it be the wires in the steering column? Thanks in advance.
