Brighter Reverse Lights

Folks,

I bought my first F150 tonight. (2007 XLT) With it being up on 35's and a 6 inch lift, the reverse lights just don't do much to light up the area behind it!

Anyone else found this to be an issue? I'd love the reverse camera.. but I'm guessing retrofitting that would be costly to say the least!

Thanks

Hmmmmm. LED reverse lights might work well. If you get led lights that need to flash you run into issues with some kind of regulator but for reverse lights an led bulb replacement should work

-you can get 35 watt bulbs for the oem reverse lights
- you could mount some lights under the bumper some where, the 7 way plug (if your truck has the tow package) has power on one wire when the truck is in reverse, but i'm unsure which wire. or how much wattage it can handle
-Get a "back rack" and mount some lights on it with a toggle switch, also good for when the a*****es behind you wont turn off their high beams

Appreciate the ideas y'all. Anyone ever gone through the effort of putting one of the back up cameras on these things?

N Fab has a nice kit that mounts over the hitch reciever, but you can still use the hitch.

Backup cameras are not too expensive. I have seen them as cheap as $69. It came with the camera that mounts to the license plate and a 3" monitor.

I'm debating a camera too. I just suck at backing out of parking spaces LOL.
