hope someone can help...I just bought a 2003 f250 and have already removed the v10 triton badges which came off easily with a hair dryer...the f250 superduty badges on the front fender and rear tailgate are more stubbborn. I have been told that the f250 badges have a hole in the metal behind the adhesive...Is this true or can i remove them and find a fender with no hole in it??
If there is a hole in the sheet metal, does anyone know of an aftermarket f250 badge in billet or something trick looking that can replace the stock....Thanks for the help
Well............. I have a 2001 and I removed the badges to acetone them. There are actually 3 holes behind the badges, the two that the plastic posts from the badges fit into and a larger one pretty much in the center. As far as removing them use fishing line to get behind them and work it back and forth like a cheese slicer. Its works really well except for getting around the plastic posts from the badges. Hope this helps
I did my trucks emblams with Acetone. Just tape off all around what you are doing and using Q-Tips and cotton ***** slowing go to work. The rear tags are on prongs if I am correct. If I remember where to get those customs tags again I will post ... I have seen them in different colors, or just chrome look from stripping off the paint.
