Sean, I don't have time in my life or the patience to deal with small issues like that one.
It was a lesson learned for me. Since I do not do my own work my calculations were as follows.
1)Dealer would have charged me $300 to put my stock box back on.
2)I would have had to send back the box and wait for replacement, dealer would have charged me $300. Again.
3)after reading here, I noticed that there were a few with the same (to stiff) issues including 1 member went through 3 boxes before getting a good one.
4)after I loosened the redhead (voided the warranty) not that I cared, didn't really think it was all that.
5)at less than 3k miles she started leaking from a place that was not touched.

Like I posted on the excursion side, I really believe that most who go to the redhead are comparing a really worn out OEM to the redhead box. It's like discovering PB&J for first time.

If you were to put a refurbished OEM and compared to the redhead you shouldnt notice any difference.

I now have a 2 year parts and labor warranty, no questions asked. Much better deal if you do not do your own work in my opinion.

Ain't that bad a deal even if you do the work yourself.
