Hi, new to posting but have been searching the forums for a while now. I have a 75 F250 "Highboy" that I have been restoring over the past few months. Just putting all the emblems back on and realized one is missing. I am unsure about what goes there though? The holes are located on only the drivers side cowl and are 3/32" to 5/64" in diameter and placed 3.75" apart. I have both F250 emblems on the fenders and both Ranger emblems on the bed. Thanks in advance. Attached is a pic of holes.
Has the cab been changed? 1975 didn't have any emblems on the cowl, they were on the fender like yours currently are.
Thanks for the quick reply. Nope. That was my first thought too. And it is only on drivers side. Truck was all original down to paint. My Marti report showed it came with Heavy duty shocks, 60 amp alternator, super cooling radiator, and dual 70 amp radiator. Could the truck be a camper special?
Probably something aftermarket added by a PO ormaybe a dealership badge.
Ibelieve the Camper Special emblems were mounted on the fender as well,at least they were on my '74 Camper Special
Oh ok. I was reading an old thread that they could be mounted on front of fender, under f250 emblem, or on cowl, depending on model/year. Thanks anyways.
Interesting. I would say that someone drilled those holes there for some reason. As Shane said, for that truck the F250 emblems are in the correct spot on the fender. If there was a factory badge missing, it would have holes on both sides, not just the driver's side. And even if it was a newer cab, the F150/F250/F350 CUSTOM/RANGER emblems require four holes, not just two since they had 4 pins on the back of them.
Contact you local Ford truck dealership and ask...but I am sure the new dealerships now days just has a sticker one and of course a license plate outer ring.
I have a old metal set in my parts shed....will have to go look at them tomorrow. I can't remember who they are from dealership wise.

Ok and thank you. My truck was originally from the Ling Motor Company Inc in Brighton Colorado. When I search that dealer it brings up Brighton Ford. I will give them a call tomorrow. Maybe ill get lucky lol. Thanks again for all the help. Don't know what I would do without this forum.

If your truck was a Camper Special, the Marti Report would have said so.
Kevin Marti, a Mustang/Shelby "nut" has all the original 1967/79 FoMoCo records, obtained them in the late 1980's when he found out that FoMoCo was going to THROW THEM AWAY!
Dual refers to dual alternator belts. There's no such thing as a 70 amp radiator, so the report probably says dual belt 70 amp alternator.

That is crazy. Haha that is what I meant but guess i didn't type it right lol. Yea the report does not say camper special so it must have just been ordered with a bunch of options.
