mounting nerf bars on 99 Explorer
I am trying to replace rusted running boards on my 99 Explorer Sport with nerf bars. On removing the old parts I discovered hat the driver side rocker panel is too rusty to mount the nerf bars as per instructions with the replacement kit. My question is: Has anyone ever mounted nerf bars on an Explorer to the frame rather than the rocker panel? If so, are adapter brackets available or do they have to be fabricated?
