I'm new to this site, I just bought a 46 PU with flathead 6 and can't find overmuch info or parts for 6 cylinder. In need of a thermostat, can someone tell me where I can find one?
Should I assume if it shows 90 HP that it's a 6 cylinder?
No. Ford rated the 221 cubic inch V8 at 90 horsepower in a few years of flathead V8 production. Your engine was rated at 95 horsepower by Ford. Vendors don't always get things right so be careful with horsepower ratings when looking at parts. Anything with a G in the first three digits of the part number should be for your six. Example: 1GA-8575 is the 160 degree thermostat for your engine (one source is here: Ford Parts Search - C&G Ford Parts).

STELLA1, you have to be careful with pre 48 Ford 6 cylinders. The links you provided are for H series engine parts. If 3-GRN's truck is original he will need G series engine parts. According to the Green Book the G and H series take different thermostats.
Another 6 cyl. In my region they weren't common at all although there were enough of them to remind you that they existed, and those who do own them are quite happy with them. Hope you enjoy your truck. Thermostats, it seems to me that Stant (or equivilant) still has a listing for Ford 6 cyl. back to 1950. I don't think the 6 changed much before '51.
Welcome to my world of not finding anything for the 6.
The G series is the orphan of the flathead Ford world. Occasionally you can get a smokin deal though. Here is someone selling a zero mile rebuild G for $600 (near Dallas): 46 Ford 6 cyl and parts - The Ford Barn
