stereo level

On my 2000 F350 crew cab the speaker level is not balanced. It has new front speakers and an aftermarket stereo. When I adjust the balance on the head unit when fully maxed to each side the driver side is quieter, its same when the balance is set to zero. Is there a way to test it or what should I look at?

I'd look carefully at the wiring, it sounds like somebody crossed something up. You'll need the wire color-coding for the head unit and for the stereo connection in the truck.

^^^Agree^^^ Sounds like crossed wires to me. Also, how is the BASS level when adjusting the balance or fading? If it is bass heavy when loaded to one side or front/rear and the bass goes away when set to the middle you have a polarity issue too.
