EGR issue?

EGR issue?
So ive done all types of test. Hair dryer test had icm tested ohmed out each injector, new plugs wires cap rotor pretty much have this thing narrowed down to either a distributor issue or egr. The reason I think its egr based is because my fuel millage changes alot. I've got an extremely missing problem only when my trucks hot. I put headers and straight piped with a cat delete andyheres a tube ran to egr that connects to the exhaust yeah well I plugged it. So I'm thinking that's my issue. But I don't know. My trucks a 1992 5.0 302 f150 flareside any help is well appreciated.

I don't know of any 302's where the EGR connects directly to the exhaust. The 302 setup is pulled from the intake manifold. The 300, 351, and perhaps the 460 got the EGR pipe connected to the exhaust.

I'm not sure what it is I'm almost positive its an egr tube if not what could it be I never traced it down just was told it was egr and my fix if it was sucking to plug it if not leave it open the truck bogs down and looses power when its hot and when I unplug the egr sensor it has different symptoms but the problems still there just nit as bad plug egr back in during the issue and it gets 10x worse.

The tube that connects to the exhaust near the cat is for air injection and you can't plug it, otherwise it's likely the air that would go to the cat will get forced into the exhaust upstream of the O2 sensor and that will cause driveability issues once the motor goes into closed loop.
