Smile Just A theory

My truck has that dreaded EGR miss. The engine is brand new. I replaced distrib. cap rotor.plugs ,wires, fuel filter EGR position sensor,O2 sensor,EGR valve solinoid, checked for vacume leaks and cleaned egr valve. I know it is in the EGR system because I can rev the motor until I see the EGR start to open when the motor starts to miss if I pull the egr vaccum line it run fine put it back and it starts to miss again. To make along story short the EGR system seems to be operating fine.I pulled codes from computer there were none.
It seems like i forst noticed this shortly after replacing the exhaust. My truck a 93 f150 had twin cat convertors I had the complete exhaust redone and it was switched to one cat. From reading this forum I've found alot of people able to fix this by restricting EGR flow with a washer or whatever. I'm just wondering if switching to the one cat some how messed up the flow to the EGR. Hoe many others that have this problem have switched to one cat? please answer I'm very interested in knowing.
thanks
Alan

When does the truck begin to miss?

the EGR isnt in use at idle or WOT, just at cruise. the EGR gets its flow from the rear exhaust manifold so i doubt switching to one cat caused this problem.

The truck starts to miss in mid throttle you have to rev the motor a little and hold the throttle steady. You can really tell like in 5th gear about 45mph
