Replace the Branch Tubes?

Rear cover goes on tomorrow. Should I replace the branch tubes, or just run the old ones? Are these a real failure point? I've searched, but I'm seeing that it's a rare failure. This engine is a 2005, and had never been apart before I bought it. I already know about the updated STC fitting. Is there an update for the branch tubes?

Very rare that the branch tube fails but it does, I would just run with the original one and there is not an updated branch tube. Why did you have the rear cover off?
