I have a 2005 F550 with a 6.0. We are having a long crank before start problem. It does not happen all the time. The other day the lights/gauges on the dash all started to randomly flash on and off and the truck shut off. Any thoughts as to what might be going on? Thank you.

 

Get on Amazon, buy an OBDII Bluetooth dongle, And download the Torque pro app. Scan for codes. That's the place to start.

Your truck is possessed...
And probably leaking high pressure oil somewhere, like the STC fitting if it hasn't been upgraded. Dummy plugs or the stand pipe.

Try unplugging the ICP sensor (passenger valve cover) and see if it starts easier. If it doesn't, that pretty much confirms HPO system problems.

That gauge will tell whats up.
