Sure, its' done often. Depends on what you want for steering; Toyota power, manual or power rack and pinion etc. You'll have to match the stock column to a u-joint. I stayed with a round end on the shaft and welded and pinned the u-joint to the shaft. I also changed from column shift to floor, replaced the gear shift shaft with 1/2" copper tubing painted black and used the tube for the turn signal wiring. You'll also have to come up with a new way to run your horn wire since it can no longer run through the steering shaft with a u-joint on it. I used a monentary push switch on the left side of the dash with a matching 54 ****. Works well and is an easy reach.

Sorry I don't have a decent pic of the steering column end. Hope this helps - there will be more responses from others that have done this. Ken

Mine had a toyota setup already installed and really hokey (plus it was too short). I had a member from another board make me a new shaft with a double D at the bottom.

I have a steering column that has been cut down that I am replacing that I will sell to you really cheap. Column only, no steering wheel. I would just need to verify that it would be long enough for you. Once you figure out what you need, let me know and we can work something out if you want it.
