cutting steering column

cutting steering column
how would i go about cutting a manual steering column to make it work with my power steering? do i just cut the center shaft or will i have to cut off part of the actual column. thanks for the help. oh and if i don't reply back it is becaus i will be out of town.

if the center shaft is sticking out about 6/8 inches, get a power column and pull the center shaft out and replace yours.
if yours doesnt stick out that far, you will either have to get a power column or cut the tube.
