Technologiq's "Excursion" Build Thread

Figured I'd do this now rather than later. It also won't be in any kind of order since I did take pictures of stuff in most cases but did it in a different order. I figured I'd do this in case people are doing the same things I have done and have any questions.

First off, the changeover from '02 to '05 front end:

Here is my truck. Note that did have the 'cut' '05 grille as well as the '05 lights

Removal of lights and grille, here you can see how hacked up the original header panel was to install the lights

Original header panel removed

Everything removed from front.

Updated '05 header panel installed along with the lights.

Front bumper installed along with freshly painted bumper pad and lights

Test fitting an original '05 grille. You can't see if from here but the ford emblem was pretty shot and the 'chrome' on the grille was bubbling off

Here it is with the '07 Lariat Highline Grille. I'm not 100% on this or getting the standard '05-07 grille.

Another shot of the new nose

Front on shot of the new nose.

I'm kinda jealous that you have a garage tall enough (and deep enough) to comfortably fit an Excursion.

Thanks for the sequence of pics. They answered a few questions I had.

May be an optical illusion. I have maybe 1" of clearance. As soon as I decide to put new springs on her, I'm SOL.
