My 89 f150 6 cyl ecu number is worn off how can I find it?

Best thing to do is find a pick and pull junkyard and find a truck like yours and see if the ECU is there with the numbers.
What is wrong with the ECU you have or trouble with the truck?
Also which transmission you have? Manual or 3 speed automatic or 4 speed automatic?

If the Calibration code is still on the b-pillar (door jamb) post it here. Might be able to cross reference for you.
Also post your truck details as posted above.

4 speed starts hard fuel pump does not shut down stutters going down road check ecu looks like it got wet

The ENGINEERING NO. is what the auto part stores and the salvage yards use and the number that is on the ECU Computer.
The SERVICE NO. or part number is the number the Ford dealers part room uses.
The ECU Computer numbers for CALIBRATION: 7-51H-R00 4.9L EFI is:
ENGINEERING NO. :
E7TF-12A650-K1B, K2B or E8TF-12A650-CL1A, CL2A Alt.
SERVICE NO.:
E7TZ-12A650-KB or E8TZ-12A650-CLA Alt.
