need help decoding transmission door code
I'm looking into swapping a manual transmission into my 1990 f150 with a fried AOD. The only donor truck I can find locally is a 1987 or 1988 (for the life of me i cant remember which) f150 4x4 with an i6-300. Its got a 4 speed manual transmission and the code on the door tag for the transmission is "F". I cannot however find "F" in any decoder chart. Does anyone know what transmission this is? or what transfercase it might have behind it? I don't really wanna have to drive an hour to have a look if someone here might be able to help. Thanks.
