EOT & ECT sensor location

For the last 4 mornings, I have been comparing the two in the morning after a cold soak. My EOT sensor is consistently reading 3.2 - 3.8 degree's higher than the ECT sensor. I don't think it's anything to pull my hair out over but I would like to know where they are located.

Page 9 starts the component location. Oil temp is on top near oil filter, coolant temp is on the front near fuel pressure reg. It can take a while for temps to stabilize, big mass of metal to cool.

That could also mean that its showing early signs of a plugged oil cooler... what are temps with a fully warmed up truck after the 65mph/15 minute road test unloaded on flat ground?

It takes a lot longer than 8-10 hours for my ECT/EOT temps to fall to "ambient".
Compare your 2 temps to the outside ambient temp sensor, and if you feel motivated your TFT as well.
Then consider which direction the outside temp has been going for the last 2 hours..
Lastly unless you are in a garage, once the sun comes out the various fluids react differently (sunlight on the hood? sunlight on the ground under the trans, etc.)

Just curious. How could temps after a cold soak indicate signs of a plugged oil cooler? Inquiring minds would like to know.
