Rust Distance/Duration

Can anyone tell me the meaning of rust distance and rust duration?
My Sport Trac has a rust distance of unlimited miles and 60,000 for rust duration.

You need to expand on these terms. Where do you see these terms, and what context are they used in? I'm thinking you are looking at an extended warranty and it is referring to the time and mileage for different warranty components. Rust can happen as a result of both time and miles travelled, as time rusts everything and travels may include salted roads.

So please explain further.

Most corrosion warrantys cover rust bubbles and rust-through until the time and mileage listed. So, if you see a bubble or rust hole before the end of the warranty get it taken care of.
