What is this thing?!?!

I pulled this from a 76 F250 what is it...fluid inside was certainly not windshield washer fluid.

Wow I am pretty sure it is not something that came from the factory....looks like a filter bowl of some sort that has a bleed port and a adjustment valve???

Where in the engine compartment was it mounted?
Did the truck ever have a snow plow on it?
Or has it ever been set to run on propane?
Was the fluid like brake, hydraulic fluid or fuel smelling?

Looks like an old water vapor injector. Keeps the carbon down. Uses vacuum to draw the mist.

Passenger side firewall, truck had a 460 in it.

76 F250 with a 460, I bet it is 2wd?

If it is 4wd, then the 460 was a swap in and who knows what else the PO added. Like that crazy looking glass jar thingamabob-domahitchy.

Go to Water4Gas | The Original Water4Gas Site! and you'll see variations of the hydrogen cell and a water evaporater. It's probably something in that vein. Interested in the hydrogen cell pack myself, Hio should check this out.
