So I was under the truck bed the other day replacing the shocks when I noticed some large rectangular sheets of metal bolted to the frame. They were pretty rusted through. What are these called? They look like some kind of shield. I will post pictures of them when I get home but just curious if they are worth replacing.
Thanks!

They are skid plates that are designed to protect things such as a gas tanks when you are off road. I ordered them for mine.
I apologize, I should have mentioned they are way up under the bed, like several inches from the bed bottom, probably too high up for a skid. Ohh it is a 4x2 :-(
