Bed rails rusting out

Bed rails rusting out
After returning home from our trip last week I was giving the truck a once-over and trying to figure out why I had less clearance with the cab lights and the camper. Well a quick look down under revealed the culprit, the cross rail closest to the front is gone where it comes in contact with the frame. The inside of the bed would flex when I walked on it , in turn most every time I would hit a bump or transition in the road the camper would hit the cab lights.
Disgusting, The rest of the bed is in real good shape, those rails are almost shot. Dually beds aren't cheap and getting someone to weld in new rails probably won't be either. We have decided to keep it at least one more year, I may attempt it on my own, get my brother -in-law to weld in the rails..

Yes I seen those, problem is there are five. They don't include the one in the front. I'll keep them in mind.

I have seen smashed beds go for free on craigslist. Side smashed in or what not but floors seem in good shape. I took mine to a salvage yard, bottom was clean and rust free being a TX truck but side was all messed up.
Have you searched your area by chance and maybe drill spot welds to use bracing on yours?

I've been looking, seen a thread somewhere a guy bought a new floor from the Ford dealer and drilled out all the spot welds on the old one and welded in the new. I looked it up Silver State Ford lists the bed floor for around 650 or so. Shipping would be high.
I have 2 pieces of treated 2x6 wedged in between the floor and frame
and screwed in place for now anyway. looking closer yesterday it seems just that one is completely rusted out, the others are fairly good yet.
UPDATE, Just looked on Graigslist, and found a 2011 dually bed in great condition for 2200. Looks to be the same color as well, now to convince the wife.
