Possible transmission
I just bought a 92 f150 qith the 5.8 and honestly dont know much about the transmission in these trucks. Just wondering if its worth putting a new one in or swapping it for a c6 if thats even a feasible idea just because they arent as expensive but i understand the truck may not exactly like going from an electronic controlled to non. Just looking for input for best route to go. Thank you in advance.

The electronic controlled E4OD behind that engine can go into limp mode from any sensor that is out of spec. Best bet is to pull the codes.....

Thankfully nothing but i wont know until i drop the pan when i change the fluid and im just trying to plan for the worst because its happened to me before unfortunately. And quite frankly the less electronically controlled stuff i have to deal with the happier i am lol. The truck also has 185k on it and just gueesing from the guy i bought it from they werent all very nicely driven miles by a far shot.
