Just had a Craigslist add pop up for a set of almost new take offs from a 2008 F250. The guy is within 30minutes of me and he's only asking $225 OBO! He bought the truck brand new in 08 drove it for seven months and then added a FULL 6" BDS lift kit that had new rear leafs so the OEM ones he had sitting in his garage. Here is the pics he sent me of the part numbers, just wanna make sure they are not light duty or some low rated springs? I'm gonna do the swap on my 2004 F350
Tried looking up rear code's found one on here and another on a diesel site but it was the same picture of codes. Also the ones stamped on the pics are missing letters and I can't find any info on them?
I can't find the 08 guide for some reason, but in 2010 there's only two rear leaf combinations, 5 leaf or 6 leaf, and the 6 leaf pack is identical on F250s and F350s. Page 19: https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...kups_PRINT.PDF
Yes I understand the 08+ leaf springs are equal length and longer than my 2004's. I will be buying the hanger brackets IF I buy the springs so I can do the mod this summer. I just wanted to know if I was getting the correct weight springs since Ford seems to have ten different levels of payload capacities and I don't want a "light" set. A little better ride will be nice but having to add airbags or a add a leaf because the springs won't hold weight like my 04 springs is gonna really make my blood pressure go sky high LOL
After reading through txfireman spring swap thread I realized that the pics I have are of a 3+1 leaf spring and looks like these are a lighter payload spring? Txfireman installed normal 4+1 rear springs and the trucks I looked at all have 4+1 springs also....
