I posted this in the 6.0 forum but figured I'd try here too.
Discovered today that the top leaf of the 4 pack of springs on both left and rear wheels is broken on the front of the pack. Same spring, same place.
I have other stuff to repair first so I need to know is this serious, and how long can I live with it?
I have no idea how long it's been like that. I've hauled wood and stone with the truck and didn't notice any issues. Right now there's no weight in the bed and I don't anticipate putting anything back there so any thoughts?
Just purely from memory... isn't the top leaf the only one that connects to the front spring hanger? So basically the hendrick clamp is the only thing in front of the u bolts that's keeping the axle pointed in the right direction.
