ICP 1280 code
Yesterday the wife was backing out of the driveway in the X and all of a sudden it started to romp. See looked at me with deer in head light look an I told her to turn it off and pop the hood. She also said she had a CEL before she turned it off. I said good then there is a code stored. Also I have the Banks 6 gun tuner on the X and the tuner is connected to the ICP. The tuner was also displaying ICP ERROR. I jump up in the eng bay and disconnect the sensor. She cranks back up with no romping at all and running smooth.
Today I get a chance to hook up AE and I got the 1280 ICP circuit low. I knew this was going to happen because back in Dec and Jan when I was rebuilding the turbo and doing a bunch of other stuff I checked the plug on the ICP and it was filled with oil so I just cleaned it out real good and waited till it failed. So now I'm getting ready to order one from Riffraff. I hope this fixes it.

Sounds likely. Disconnecting ICP sensor puts it in default value mode and "circuit low" is Auto-geek for "Ain't plugged in"
It is exactly the same for the EBP sensor...ask me how I know! LOL.
Romping can also be a sign of older oil, so might be a good time to change your oil, too, if it is close to time

Well I changed out the ICP and hooked everything back up. Started it and it started romping again. So I disconnect the Banks plug that connects to the ICP and plug the OEM plug in and she runs smooth as butter. So it wasnt my ICP after all but something is wrong with my Banks 6 Gun tuner. I'm glad I still changed out the ICP because it had oil coming out of it and known my luck it would go bad when i'm up in NC for the next 2 months and the wife is calling me bitchen about the X. I guess me next thing is to call Banks up and ask them about it.
