Tire Sizes

I just bought a 1999 F250 Super Duty 4 Wheel drive. It has 2 different tire sizes front to rear. I know this is bad for the 4 wheel drive, but is it OK when using 2 wheel drive. I have a considerable distance, 40- 50 mi, to drive to find replacements.

Sizes:
FR 265/75R16
RR LT305/70R16 1 1/2 inches taller than fronts

Yes, it'll be OK in 2WD as long as both rear tires are the same size.

I just down loaded the owners manual and found the hubs were in the locked position, even though the dash switch is on 2wheel. Did I do any harm? It still works.

Ok if 4x4 not engaged,but at least very strange from the previous owner..

OK, good. Yes both rear wheels are the same size and 4x4 was not engaged. I also was able to fix a miss in #5 with a set of plugs and then a new coil. Getting at #5 was real fun.
