Tire and wheel combo for f450

My dad just got an f450 platinum dually and me being the one who's into trucks gets the duty of choosing a wheel and tire combo for him to make it look more "manly and aggressive. He wants 20" American forces on something in the 35" tall range but I am unfamiliar with how dually rear tires work. What width wheel and tires do I need to be looking at?

American Force doesn't make a 20" that will clear the brakes on a 450. You have to go 22". Any of the their 22" options can be made in a bolt on variant that doesn't need adapters. AF recommends the Nitro Terra Grappler G2 in size 325/50R22 for this setup.

With a tire width of 325 chances are your also going to need 2" spacers between the dually's
And oh ya a boat load of money lol

Mine were $5400 to my door and that was in steel 19.5" x 7.5" wide. 35.4" tall tires, max for stock truck height.

Rickson 7.5" wide wheels in 19.5" diameter with Toyo M608Z 285/70R19.5 tires. You need to trim a tiny bit of plastic on the inside top of the stock mudflaps. I also recommend if you go the Rickson route you choose ALL 3 different offsets they offer. I had minor rubbing on the tire to the anti-sway bar in the front on my 2008, no contact at all on my 2017. They really use all of the wheel well, width and height for stock suspension.

Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice, WAY more massive in person.

4x325mm wide tires on the back - over 50" of tire width... That seems like way too much width for the weight of these trucks to me!

(BTW, I know that the bulge is 32.5 cm wide, not the tread. With a 50 series tire, the bulge and tread width are fairly close though. Nitto's website doesn't give the tread width.)

Nice setup! I have a 2019 F450 and the ride is no bueno, vibrations on the rear and pulling right in the front despite alignments done. Mechanic says most likely tires causing pull. Rickson's site says a lot of this can be eliminated with their wheels and tire packages. I just wanted to get your feedback before spending so much. The stock look is fine with me, bigger tires would be nice but my primary concern is the ride. What are your thought on the ride with regard to vibration and bumps and pulling. Have you been happy with your decision?

3.5 year old thread. I'm pretty sure Rickson no linger makes custom wheels, they were having supply issues for the wheel centers. All of the wheels they appear to sell now are too narrow for upgraded tires. I would buy them again if they are available but it is an expensive proposition and mine were over $5000 10 years ago.

It’s hard to tell from the pick, but do the 285s stick out from the dually fender? I’ve had one supplier come back and tell me 19x7.5 will stick out, and that 19x6.75 and a 265 are as big as possible. This would be on a 2005 F350 dually.
