Well, I have been through the tech folder and all over the forum reading but cant seem to come up with a good first step. When i accelerate the truck shakes, by the sound it seems that its missing a cylinder. I guess it could also be the motor mounts. Besides replacing the plugs and coils, is there something else that could remedy a misfires or dead cylinder?
First step is to read the Mode $06 TID$53 data with a scan tool and see which CID$ values are non-zero. That will tell you which cylinder(s) to focus your effort on to resolve the problem. Otherwise, you're left with simply replacing everything and hoping you got the problem via the shotgun approach which is expensive and not always successful.
Well I got the P0301 304 308 and 309 code. I didn't think it was misfiring on four of the 10 cylinders based on that I'm going to have a tuneup done I just don't have the time with family in town and a new baby to do all this I'll let you guys know what they find
coolant leak on #4, and a bad coil. We'll see how she drives after a good tune up and giring on all cylinders. New motorcraft plugs for the whole engine.
