Installing 3 in 1 GlowShift Gauge

Howdy. I am in the process of installing this gauge and I am having a heck of a time finding the right power points at the fuse box. The gauge requires both a switched 12v power supply and a constant 12v power supply. I am going to use one of the power outlets as the switched supply but cannot determine a constant supply without running wire all the way to the battery. Wiring and electrical stuff is just not my forte! Can someone help me here? There is an old thread that I tried to restart but got no responses. Thanks very much, gm.

Should be able to just probe the interior fuse block with a test light or voltmeter with the key off and find a constant hot circuit.

Thanks, I was trying to avoid pulling the fuse box to use a probe. Geez, I hate this stuff....

You don't have to pull the fuse block... Stick the probe where the fuse would go, lol.

Buy some fuse tappers. They plug in where the fuses go and add an extra fuse and have a wire coming out. Perfect for low current things like a gauge or to power a relay for lighting etc. Makes for a clean reversible install.

That's what I did with mine! The cover of the fuse box needed some trimming to make it fit back on afterward, but it wasn't that big of a deal.
