Well, good and bad, the bad, that looks like its going to be real hard to find, not impossible, just hard. The other bad, you have to get the transmission bolt half, removed so you can determine the thread. The good, its just a ball stud, if you can match the dimensions and thread, not as easy as the preferred option but an option nonetheless.
Can anyone tell me if CT5Z-7A535-A from '73-79 is the same part as E0TZ-7A535-A from '80-'86? I can't find enough information about either to tell. I am waiting to hear back about the one possible E0TZ part, but the C5TZ parts appear to be readily available.

Have you sent a Private Message to NumberDummy? If not I would highly suggest it. Good Luck

It looks ok..the threads seem to be the same as an extra one I have in my parts shed. It is a course thread...1/2" or 9/16'ths I can't remember I even have a tap for it...if you have a 300-6 I would get an extra one..which I'm sure you've thought of since that one has broken. The plastic bushings are available as well. again get a spare or two when you find them and Parts counter is a good source...
My 83 E150 uses one as well bolted to a bracket on the bell mounts. Since Ford went hydraulic in "84" generally you won't find anything later that that with a similar stud I don't believe.
About this being an "oddball" part...since most of if not all of the 80 thru 83 Ford products with a manual shifter came with one of these in some form..I wouldn't actually call them oddball, just not a currently used item maybe?..and having one break has to be an oddity as well?
