Mechanic lost the engine side bracket for the clutch pivot rod, some call the equilizer bracket. I have the "bolt" with nylon pivot that screws into it, but must find a mounting bracket ASAP as I've put the rebuilt engine back in the truck & it's holding me up. Other than my Harley it's my only transportation.
It's an 83 F100, 300 six, 3spd w/OD tranny.
Thanks for any help locating this
I don't know where to get one, but I have to ask, why do you need to find one when it was the mechanic who lost it?
If I lost a part of a customer's vehicle there would be no way I wouldn't replace it.
The mechanic came here. Now he won't return his calls of course won't come back.
I coldn't find the bracket on LMC's website or in their catalogue
Thanks
I'm assuming you meant 7A572 as I can't find a 7A672 in the drawing and that number doesn't even exist in the parts catalog.
But, the drawing says you need 7A535 for a six cylinder, not 7A572. And, if you look at the first page attached below you'll see that 535 is used for the 300 six and all manual transmissions, while the 2nd page shows that 572 was used for all other engines.
IOW, if you have the 535 then it just needs to screw into the right spot on the bell housing.

AH! I was hoping to hear that... couldn't imagine why that bracket would be the ONLY thing lost in the take-out.
I couldn't find a place for that pc to screw in, but I'm old & blind. Truck is in the shop being done for me, I'm sure they'll get it. I can stop worrying about crawling around in weeds in a picking yard now..
Many thanks, Gary. You've lifted a lot of worry off my shoulders. And I appreciate you not laughing at my ignorance... G>
No problem. We've all been there, and the longer I live the more often it happens. And, at 66 it is just a question of how many times a day it happens - and how many of those times I admit it.
the "535" stud screws directly into a boss cast into the rear of the block itself in a 240/300 six. It is something to keep in mind if you do a block change because some years of blocks may not have the boss drilled and tapped to accept the 9/16" coarse thread stud...The v-8 guys need the bracket..not the six....
Interesting note, my "86" block wasn't drilled for the stud...(it came with a juice clutch)
I didn't see place on the rear of the block either, but I'll look again. If I happened to get a block w/out the spot, hopefully the shop can drill/thread one...

the hole may just be filled with debris, but if this is the block you started with I'm sure the hole is there..if it is not, it can be drilled and tapped very easily..but I would do it before you install it..
A side note, I bought a 91 motor complete that actually had the hole tapped already. (an EFI block with a juice clutch even)...
Impossible! 7A572 pivot is not used on 300's in F100/350's & Bronco's.

Look at parts catalog pic below:
Clutch equalizer bar (7528) rides on two pivots. The outer pivot (7507) is located on the frame rail, the inner (engine side) pivot on a 300 is a threaded stud (7A535).
