I decided have decided to replace the aftermarket rims (16) on my 2000 4x4. The set on there now is 285/75/16. I bought stock 17 inch by 7.5 fx4 wheels off a 2002 f150. I am thinking the size to go with for tires will be 285 79r17's (right?) Now I want a nice all terrain tire that looks good and functions well. I don't daily drive my truck I mostly use it to tow my bay boat to the marina or deer hunt out of in the fall. I have always loved bfg all terrains maybe will lokk at the new ko2 heard lots of good about nitto terras I also think the new red letter general grabbers look awesome but I don't know much about them. A guy at the tire shop said the bfg all terrains were out of style and old dudes gravitated towards them. What size and brand do you guys like?
Mastercraft Courser CTll Had a set on an '02 supercrew Put over 40,xxx miles on them and were still good for at least another 20,000 when I traded trucks
yes i know the size is almost the same... i just wanted to take the pitted not so nice wheels off and put the fx4 wheels on it. i got i new bfg ko2's put on yesterday evening. the wheels look great and the tires ride really nice!
i will try to post some later from desk top.. for some reason my lap top isnt doing it. These tires really changed the look of my truck. They also ride very quiet.
