What do you think. Does it look like around 52 feet? The 5th Wheel is 36 feet (plus a little). I think I measured the truck at 22 feet one time. With an 8 foot bed covered by 6 feet of 5th wheel ??????
I guess I could go find my tape but the 5th wheel is in Arizona and I am in Dallas Oregon.
You should be about 52 feet. My 5ver measures 37' and hooked to my crew cab dually it measures about 53' bumper to bumper.
Sweet trailer! I have to ask, how does the 7.3L handle that much weight??
It handles really well actually. This truck came with air bags and standard leaf springs. The weight of this trailer doesn't even push the bed down to the springs (my air bags were flat,5 psi, when I noticed this). My only problem is the truck has very little power under load so I am working on that issue.
I had a friend drive the truck with fifth wheel since I have little experience with diesel or fifth wheel towing. He's a retired semi driver and also has a diesel (chevy 2500) and fifth wheel. He really like how well my truck handled this load. His only concern was my power, which I am working on.
I've hauled ours over 12K miles in the past year just about that 2.5" nose high. You may add a bit of weight to the back axle but as long as you have good tires, not China Bombs, shouldn't be a problem.
By the way, nice rig. If a local dealer had bothered following up as promised, we might have purchased a Durango too
Not yet..........
22 Oct we drive to Boise ID (9 hr drive) to look at 2 models of the Montana 5th wheel that we are interested in.......2790RD and 3710FL
